Comin’ to America

When I studied abroad in college, everyone was wearing sneakers adorned in a million ways- colorful, studded, velcro- you name it. They’d wear them with jeans, trousers and even skirts. But not in a mall-walker sort of way… these people looked cool. Naturally, I saved my Euros and bought a pair. Then when I came back to America, my sneakers felt clunky and out of place.  Until now.  I feel like we’ve caught up with our European friends and embraced the sneaker, not just as a gym shoe. Below are some that I love.

Pro tip: I buy a TON of my shoes on eBay (new, not used) or Amazon for a fraction of the retail price. Sizes are spotty, but it’s always worth a check.
