Last year a friend told me that she wanted to buy overalls. I rolled my eyes and possibly made a vomiting noise. I was NOT a fan. Enter Spring 2016 and my tastes have changed. My apologies, said friend. Why? The overalls that I envisioned twelve months ago were baggy, stone washed and made you look like you were 10 lbs over your game weight. The ones in store right now are anything but – crisp, well cut with washes that flatter. Here I am, taking my Madewell’s out for a spin. The sizes are spotty for this exact pair, but some others I like are linked below. You could wear these casual with sneakers but I like the flares dressed up with a bootie and blazer for date night.
