i’ll give you a reason to celebrate

Am I the only one who considers the Zara summer sale a holiday? This year a friend invited me to come over to celebrate when her box arrived, so that I could examine the contents and maybe buy any of her cast-offs before being returned. And, as I can attest, the clothes and prices are worth the hype. One of my finds was this pinkish embroidered top I wore Saturday night. It’s still in stock and is now $25. It’s got some eyelet, embroidery and is rose-hued to boot, so lots of trend boxes being checked with this one. I am wearing a small, but just by the nature of the fit, it’s kind of roomy.

Incidentally, we went to Trattoria Marcella. Which (correct me if I’m wrong) but I think is something of a St. Louis institution, yet somewhere I’d never been. They have a darling patio and a cute bar. I got the brussels sprout salad and lobster risotto and both were delish. In case you were looking for a restaurant for your next date night…
