When I walked into The Clover and spotted Elemente Clemente‘s clothes, I was hooked (and that’s saying a lot for a girl who’s never met a print she doesn’t like). The German brand was founded in 2002 and has stores in France, Germany, and Austria, but no stand alone stores in the States. Their look is neutral colors, rich fabrics, and classic silhouettes – timeless pieces that won’t ebb and flow with the fashion tides. Below, my pants and arm warmers (yes, arm warmers!) are both Elemente Clemente. The top is Heather by Bordeaux, but also can be found at The Clover.
I recently found this caftan dress at The Clover, a Webster Groves, MO boutique that not only carries unique brands sourced from around the globe, but also has a great selection of locally designed wares. This dress is case in point. It’s from St. Louis designer Lauren Cram’s clothing line, Victrola. Under $100, it can be dressed up or down and is amazingly comfortable (read: no Spanks under here). In fact, in this dress, you could probably eat your dessert, your kid’s dessert, your husband’s dessert, the guy at the next table’s….well, you get the point.
